On Saturday, July 24, NEC employees partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Corpus Christi to help build a home for a local family. 15 NEC employees, along with family members, joined the future Corpus Christi-area homeowner to help frame and build-out the new home’s walls.

“Habitat for Humanity is one of the premier non-profit organizations in the United States, and it is a privilege for our not-for-profit cooperative to join forces with them to benefit a Coastal Bend family,” says NEC’s Corporate Communications & Community Affairs Specialist Alexa Patek. “Concern for community is one of the seven cooperative principles that guide NEC, and we are honored to contribute our personal time and effort to benefit our neighbors.”
