This year, Nueces Electric Cooperative proudly awarded $32,000 in scholarships to seniors from nine surrounding high schools throughout our service territory: Calallen HS, W.B. Ray HS, Mathis HS, London HS, Bishop HS, Orange Grove HS, Kaufer Early College HS, Tuloso Midway HS, and Flour Bluff HS.

NEC also awarded two $1,000 scholarships to winners of the Government-in-Action Youth Leadership Tour trip, for a total of $34,000 awarded scholarships. Following our cooperative principle of education, training, and information, and concern for community, NEC is honored to be part of each students' educational journey. We continue to strive in supporting young minds in the communities we serve to continue their education.

Recipients of these scholarships are students who are dependents of our membership who plan to attend a Texas college and displayed proof of exemplary grades, as well as dedication to school involvement and community. Each recipient received between $1,000-$6,000 in scholarship awards to help fund their academic pursuits. NEC is proud to be part of their journey to continued education.
