Energy Efficiency Tips
(1)Replace your air-conditioner–If you reside in a home that is was built over 20 years ago, it may be time to invest in a more energy efficient air conditioner. Buying an air conditioner that has energy approved standards will cost you less over time.
(2) Different ways of cooking - Heating up an oven everyday causes the air conditioning system to work harder and longer. Consider using less energy by microwaving or grilling outside. This saves you energy and money!
(3) Take cooler and shorter showers- We all love taking hot showers, but they may cost more money and energy than you realize. Consider lowering the temperature and duration time to help save energy..
(4) Service your air conditioning unit- Make sure your air filters are changed at least once a year or according to the manufacturer's directions. A properly working air conditioning unit cuts back on your electricity bill!
(5) Last but not the least; spend more time outside the home. Saving energy does not have to be a challenge. Whenever the weather permits, enjoy some time outside. Going on picnics, exercising, and just being outside is a great way to give your home a rest.
